Recycled Plastic Bag Dresses.

I saw these awesome dresses made entirely from recycled plastic bags on the Threadbanger site.

I have also been reading an Etsy Labs post about making fabric from melted plastic bags, and am now quite excited to try this out, maybe to make a shopping bag . . .

I saw a dress like this one in H&M and have been looking around for an over sized mans shirt to alter into my own dress. I haven’t managed to find one yet, but when I do I hope it comes out this cute.

Soon there will be lots of lovely things to buy in my etsy shop! I’m just working on getting the first items finished, and labeled up.
I can’t wait to show you what I have been working on .
Have a super Monday!

Shh don’t tell anyone, but this is a sneak peek of my ‘super secret work in progress’.

I’m feeling a tad blah today, so I’m consoling my self with new Vogue and Ugly Betty 🙂

Hetty Rose for beautiful shoes.

These beautiful shoes are handmade to order by Henrietta Rose Samuels, who’s current collection are covered in vintage kimono print fabric. I would love the chance to have made to measure shoes but I think I’ll be saving up at prices starting from £300.

One step forward, two steps back.

I wish I had more time to allow me to blog many times a day, and think about nothing but fashion. Alas, my life is not as such. I really wanted to keep up with this blog on a daily basis, and I haven’t even managed a week. I will endeavour to blog as often as possible and keep you updated with my fumblings in fashion.

For now, as I try to fill my sketchbooks with beautiful drawings and inspiration for my forthcoming project, I will leave you with this image of my super new shoes which I am sure you have heard enough about already.

I am annoyed, as I haven’t managed to take any pictures of the things I have been making to show you. However I have been working hard on designs and inspiration, and I will hopefully be able to show you some sneak peek pictures tomorrow, or early next week. img_1999.jpg

I am using urban texture as a theme for my current designs and this is one of the images I am using in my research.

The purse that I am making is having a few design issues so I will be altering my design and seeing if I can make it work.

I am loving the new Mui Mui ad campaign with Kirsten Dunst, the colour scheme and the styling is super and suits to alter Kirsten’s girl-next-door looks perfectly. I love her powdered out face and red lips, they really make the outfits.

Check it out here!

The shoes, the shoes, the shoes!

The shoes arrived today, and they are just as fab as I had hoped they would be! I am in love with them. Not only are they cream, round toe, chunky gold-tipped heel, t-bar beauties, they are also supremely comfy and easy to walk in, due to the solid heal and the sturdy straps. Woot! I foresee much wearing of these in the future. I am also working on a purse, that I will post pictures of soon, possibly with a how-to guide.
